The different faces of Yazidiat
 
Yazidiat in various forms have been an enemy of Islam and has been opposing Islam in every era of history. There is a difference between the enmity of Yazid and that of infidelity, atheism and barbarism against Islam.
 
Imam Hussain (a.s) with this statement of his unveiled the mask from the face of Yazidiat and disgraced it in front of entire world

'' وعلی الاسلام السّلام اذ قد بلیت الامّة براعٍ مثل یزید '' 

When a ruler like Yazid and governance system of Yazid comes into power then we should bid farewell to Islam because no place of Islam remains when Yazidiat steps in and comes into power.
 
Difference between Infidelity and Yazidiat
 
Yazidiat does not annihilates Islam in a manner of complete devastation of Islam to the extent that no signs of it remains but instead Yazidiat preserves the outward of Islam , its rites and signs in its original place but extracts the soul and spirit of Islam out of it. This is the difference between Infidelity, Communism, Socialism and Yazidiat else both have the same spirit.
 
Communism and Socialism not just obliterates the soul of Islam but also uproots its exterior fundamental aspects. A clear example of this is seen in the past socialist and communist systems in Russia. When this system came into power it neither did tolerate the outward nor the inward of Islam; hence its opposition to Islam is very clearly evident. Restrictions were imposed on Islamic rites and customs; and participating in these rites was declared as crime.
 
The seventy years of communist rule over the world has been an accursed era for humanity. It was not that this was ruling over specific geographical area instead this thinking, belief and vision overcome the borders taking entire world in its clutches irrespective of whether they were successful in establishing governance or not in many of these places. In fact on the pure land of Pakistan as well the germs of socialism and communism entered and with grief we have to say that these germs are even present today. But as against this when Yazidiat gains power the mosques and religious centres don’t get sealed, locks are not placed on mosques, places of worships and neither visiting these places are declared as crimes instead Yazidiat itself constructs mosques, places of worship, sacred religious precincts and churches for people.
 
The complexity of the system of Yazidiat
 
The system of Yazidiat is much more dangerous than the socialist, communist system because these other systems openly come in the field as opposition. Infidelity and polytheism openly comes out in enmity but Yazidiat comes against Islam with deception, treachery, conspiracy and changing colours. And in order to understand this deception and changing colours there is a need for smartness, sharpness, intelligence and wisdom.

The destructive effects of communism and socialism on humanity, religion, divine ideology and specifically Islam is present in front of our eyes today but the system of Yazidiat is very complex. It does not replaces Islam with something else in its place instead it keeps the exterior and name of Islam preserved, Islamic rituals are delivered in routine manner, the doors of religious centres are open but it extracts the soul out of Islam creating deviations and distortions inside it; and this deviated, distorted, tarnished face of Islam is much worst than subjugated and dominated Islam. In Russia Islam was definitely subjugated and buried but not corrupted whereas in the system of Yazidiat Islam is not explicitly prohibited it gets adulterated and corrupted. As an example in order to captivate someone one way is to imprison him, expose him to physical tortures, lock in a dungeon and do not allow him to meet anyone but against this another way is to leave him free to wander around the city, meeting family and his family but extract his soul, sense, intelligence and wisdom from it. In both these types, the sensible person imprisoned in a dungeon would be thankful thousand times after looking at this insane person free to move around.
 
When Prophet Yusuf (a.s) was made to stand on a crossroad whereby one option given to him was to live in the house of the Egyptian chief moving around freely thereby adulterating the soul of Prophet Yusuf with sin and disobedience; whereas the second option was to get imprisoned and bear the calamities of prison. Prophet Yusuf desired from Allah (s)
 
''… رَبِّ السِّجْنُ اَحَبُّ اِلَیَّ مِمَّا یَدْعُونَنِی إِلَیْہِ…

 O Allah! This prison is thousand times better than the filthy thing towards which these women are inviting me. Thus prison and dungeons are much comfortable as compared to the spiritual pains in which the soul of man and his inward gets adulterated with disobedience of Allah (s.w.t)).
 
In the system of Yazidiat human body and exterior is preserved in fact this system decorates and nourishes it but adulterates its soul. Similarly the system of Yazidiat gives utmost significance to the externally visible aspects of religion; it decorates them but snatches the soul of it. The dead religion whose soul has been extracted is similar to man whose soul is removed and is turned into a corpse. A dead person is corpse and eligible to be buried and more this dead person remains amongst living beings it will be damaging for the dead person and also to others. It is an obligation on living beings to bury this dead person in a graveyard as early possible.
 
Similarly a dead and soulless religion; the more it remains in a society it is dangerous for the religion and also for the religious beings of that society. Thus such a dead religion should be buried in a graveyard as early possible. The task of extracting soul out of religion has been prior to Yazid as well, in the era of Yazid and in times after Yazid. In ever era this dead and soulless religion had different names but since Yazid went much ahead in openly doing this thing we refer to this as the system of Yazidiat or Yazidi Islam. This is the reason when the Doyen of Martyrs heard that the System of Yazidiat has come into power, he recited the verse of return:

'' انا ﷲ وانّا الیہ راجعون ''

He (a.s) meant to say that now after this Islam won’t remain

On one side we see that the Doyen of Martyrs (a.s) is reciting the verse which indicates obliteration of Islam whereas on the other hand we see that prayers and Friday prayers were being regularly observed and performed during the era of Yazid. In fact the leaders of prayers and leader of Friday (Imam-e-Juma) were being appointed by Yazid. People were going for Hajj in properly organized manner performing their pilgrimage, system of Zakat was in place and government representatives would come regularly to collect Zakat. This way all the exterior elements of Islam were well taken care off, all forms of worships were being done but still the Doyen of Martyrs moment he heard the news of Yazid coming into power said:
 
''وعلی الاسلام السلام ''
Now recite “Fateha” on Islam, Islam will not remain
 
A question that comes up over here is what name should be given to those visible religious outward acts in the era of Yazid? If Yazid was an drunkard but the Ummah (nation) was not like this; they were offering their prayers and practising religion. A biggest proof of them practising religion was when the Doyen of Martyrs (a.s) asked them in Mecca to join him the Ummah was not ready to remove their Ihram of Hajj, this shows to what extent they were indulged into religious rites. The day the Doyen of Martyrs (a.s) left Mecca and marched towards Kufa the same day the Ummah left for Arafah to carry out their Hajj rites.
 
On one side the Doyen of Martyrs is saying that Islam has passed away, it is dead and we should recite “Fateha” on it whereas on the other hand the nation is so strict about Islamic practises that despite of invitation by Imam Hussain (a.s) they were not ready to leave their Hajj and then again in Karbala we see that Umar ibn Saad was leading daily prayers and people were praying behind him.
 
The different Characters of Karbala
 
It is essential to recognize both types (positive and negative) characters of Karbala so that the reality and core of the event of Karbala can be understood and unless these characters are recognized the reality of Karbala cannot be absorbed.
 
Why was Umar Ibn Saad selected?
 
Umar-e-Saad is the name of a particular kind and category which is present in every era. Ibn Ziad selected Umar-e-Saad after a lot of search and pursuit not because he was a cruel, barbaric and tyrannical person. These traits were not present inside and this is the reason that till the last moment he was not contented with what he was doing. When he fired the first arrow towards the tents of the Doyen of Martyrs he was crying. When he set the tents on fire this accursed being was crying then also, then why was such a personality selected for this cruel task?
Umar-e-Saad was selected after lot of thinking and under a planning because a personality like him only can create such an event (Karbala). There is a big difference between the personalities of Umar-e-Saad and Shimr; and that of Umar-e-Saad and Kholi. Shimr and Kholi were both cruel tyrants but Umar-e-Saad was a religious personality and came from an esteemed family background. He was the son of Saad ibn abi Waqas who possessed the title of Conqueror of Islam. He was the one who conquered Iran, a big kingdom of that time and also conquered Khorasan. This way this conquests became the basis of spreading of Islamic boundaries and also the land in which we are living today also later got conquered and became a part of the same land.

Thus the fame of Saad ibn Waqas at that time was with the title of commander of Islam which implies he was a great commander of Islam and commander of battle having global popularity. And whenever the name of Saad ibn Waqas would come it was if the name of some big war conqueror comes today to our minds. His son Umar-e-Saad was selected on the basis of this family background. Thus this is a point worth pondering that whenever Yazid brings a personality against Islam it does not brings forward a disgraceful personality instead it find a personality through whom the soul of Islam can be snatched out. Umar-e-Saad possessed the knowledge of Quran and Religion and was a well known spiritual personality in the vicinity. He was handed over the commandership of the army so that he can go and accomplish this task. Thus the selection of Umar-e-Saad was not accidental in fact it was an outcome of thinking and planning and after a lot of consultation he was selected. Similarly we can get acquainted with other personalities of Karbala as well.

The style of actions by the system of Yazidiat

Thus when the system of Yazidiat desires to extract the soul of Islam and adulterates it; it does not impose restriction on the outward aspect of Islam and this was the reason the prayer were going on even in Karbala and the soldiers used to leave their duty to attend congregational prayers with all soldiers attending prayers behind Umar-e-Saad. In the same way prayers were established on both sides during the batter of Siffeen. Both of these are faces of Islam only; they are also doing prayers and others are also doing that.

The need for foresightedness to recognize Yazidiat

Imam Ali (a.s) had said that there are certain people whose intellect lies in their eyes and there are certain others whose eyes are in their minds. This means there are certain people who do not understand things which are capable of being understood, they content themselves by just looking at it (means satisfied with the outward) whereas there are certain people who when they look at something they try to understand it.

Thus there are some who when they look at the prayers of someone they consider them as Muslims whereas there are some others who are not deceived by their prayers. Man should not get deceived by these acts of worships and be happy that Islam is everywhere, prayers are done in congregations everywhere; he should realize that this is an adulterated Islam and a distorted face of Islam.

This division in Islam had come into existence from the very beginning and it got partitioned into two branches; one became a Mohammadi (s.a.w.s), Imam Ali's and Ahlulbayt's Islam and second was the Islam of Bani Umayyah which was the distorted face of Islam and Yazidiat is the name of this Islam. The adulterated face of Islam was existing before Yazidiat and it is existing after Yazidiat as well.

Thus all these outward acts remained in the name of Islam but its reality was snatched away and like this time kept on passing and it came to the current era of modern and complex Yazidiat. It is essential to understand the Yazidiat of today, to peep inside it, to understand its skin and colour and to make the world aware about it. It is necessary to tell that O People! Do not get entrapped with this modern Yazidiat, do not just look at the rush and big queue's of pilgrims in Hajj but instead pay intention towards the reality behind it, but the question that comes up is who will understand this? Whether those who are only confined to the outward can understand this? If those who are confined to the exterior only were capable of understanding Yazidiat than there would have been no need for the Doyen of Martyrs to start an uprising. If people were able to understand the reality of Yazidiat then there would have been no need for guides and leaders (Imams). Allah (s) has appointed guides and leaders (Imams) because if at any particular time the face of religion gets distorted and corrupted, only the outward of religion remains and its soul obliterates and people are not able to recognize this then the leader will come forward to unveil the mask from the face of this distorted Islam.

Allah (s) has created Hussain for this day only; thus when the Doyen of Martyrs witnessed that Yazid has come into power He unveiled the mask from the face of Yazidiat and told the world:
'' وعلی الاسلام السّلام ''
that Islam has departed, its soul has been snatched away and what is is present today is the Islam of Yazid and not the true Islam
 
The Modern Yazidiat of current era

The current era which means the era of this complex Yazidiat whereby under the umbrella of modern sciences the system of Yazidiat was once again articulated and rigorously propagated. Then in the name of this Islam big congregations of prayers got established, Hajj and other rites are getting delivered but Islam is distorted and corrupted in the same way as it was in the era of Yazidiat. Islam has been bid farewell the same way as in that era of Yazid but who will realize that it is not Islam but the corpse of Islam, it is not relgion but just a skeleton of religion.

The role of Leader in confrontation with Yazidiat

Allah (s) has kept leaders and guides for this day only. He (s.w.t) has appointed Infallibles so that when Islam experiences corruption they should come and inform people that this is Islam of Yazid. But today in the 21st century and in the era of major occultation when corruption has taken place in Islam with its face being adulterated then who will identify this modern and complex Yazidiat and who will unveil the mask from its face? If we are asked today we will say that the state of Islam is worst than the past. Wherever we see we find Islam whether it is Asia or Europe, Africa or America and there is no point in the world where there is no Islam but the question rises that what type of Islam and religion is present in all these places? This is where we realize the need and significance of a foresighted leader.

In this modern era as well one who is the traveller of the path of Hussain can only identify this modern Yazidiat; one who understands the system of religion and is treading the path of Imamat (Leadership), one who is Jurist (Faqeeh) and also a leader, one who is Marjae and also a guide. He is the one who comprehended this modern Yazidiat and informed the people of world that, O people of world there are two faces of Islam in this current era; one is Islam of America and other is Islam-e-Naab-e-Mohammed (s.a.w.s) (Pure Islam of Prophet Mohammed (s)). This Islam of Yazid kept on changing its name in every era and it had a specific title in every era; first it was called as Islam of Bani Umayyah because Bani Umayyah were reaping benefits out of it; then it became Islam of Yazid because Yazid got benefits from it. After this it became Islam of Bani Abbas because they took advantages from it. Hence any power that gains from this Islam it gets the title from this power but the true and pure Islam had the same title from the beginning till date though tweleve leaders came for it because the reality of these tweleve leaders is the same thus this Islam did not change its name. Thus the Islam of Hasan is not something and Islam of Hussain is not something else; and the Islam which Imam e Hujjat (a.t.f.s) will present will also be the same pure Islam.

Imam Khomeini (r.a) who is the foresighted leader of this Islam identified this American Islam and in very clear words he informed everyone that there are two face of Islam; one is the Pure Islam , the Islam of Holy Prophet (s) and other is the Islam of America.

The Islam of America

The Islam of America is that Islam which is of benefit to America and from which America gains. In every era there has been a tyrant power which on the basis of muscle power always stampeded truth. In one era the name of this power was Yazid, which was sometime the lineage of Bani Umayyah and sometime Bani Abbas and today the name of this power is America, but it is very complex.

The point of guidance for the Pakistani Community

Imam Khomeini (r.a) indentified this point in one of his addresses at that time when Russia was in Afghanistan. Imam (r.a) wrote a letter to the Pakistani nation and this letter was written on the occassion of the 40th day of martyrdom of Martyr leader Allama Arif Hussaini(r.a) addressing the people of Pakistan and broadcasted across the globe. Imam addressed the nation of Pakistan as a dignified and respected nation and this was not just a verbal flattering. This was not the dignity which today we are counting to see if it exists or not instead it was the honour and dignity which this foresighted leader found on the forhead of the Pakistani nation. Though today if someone wants to recognize the nation of Pakistan by looking at us then they should travel outside and see what fame Pakistan has due to us. When they see us they say some terrorist or a smuggler has come; either he might be having some drugs with him or might be fugitive from some criminal case. This is the introduction which we have done for Pakistan but there was someone who did such a great introduction of Pakistan in front of this great leader that Imam referred to us as a dignified nation. It was this Martyr Hussaini (r.a) who in few minutes of meeting with Imam represented this nation in such a manner that Imam read the dignity of this nation on his forehead and then gave the title of dignified and self respected nation to Pakistan. Every sentence of this letter deservers interpretation and commentary and we should make arrangements for this because we have time throughout the year. Man should not wait for Mohurrum and expect that the scholar will come to explain him entire religion in these days and as such the purpose of Mohurrum is different; the purpose is to use and demonstrate those teachings of religion acquired in life in these ten days. These ten days are to give examanition and not for attending classes. It is just like we study for the entire life and then give board examinations these ten days of Mohurrum are also like Board examination in which we have to give examination of religion. Allah (s) has granted this life to us for learning religion and not to watch Satellite TV channels or other useless and vulgar things. Thus man should himself make arrangements to learn religion spending his entire life in this way and then in these ten days of Mohurrum he should undergo the examination of religion.

The letter which Imam (r.a) wrote for the nation of Pakistan was nothing of his own it was the narrations of Imams (a.s) and from the spirit of Islam. But we are well versed in dumping behind our backs the statements and teachings of qualified leaders and it has become a practise of ours for generations after generations. How much have we read Nahjul Balagha which are the words of Ameerul Momineen? One who can throw behind his back the words of our Master Ali (a.s) it is not a big deal for him to dump the words of Imam Khomeini (r.a) who is just a meagre slave of Imam Ali (a.s). But one who has the cognizance of the words of leaders and is acquainted with them knows the value of these statements.

America - The worst face of Yazidiat

Imam (r.a) in this message addressed the nation and said: "I wish that all the powerful enemies of Islam confronts openly the way the communist system of Russia has done." This is because when enemies openly come out in confrontation then it becomes clear to everyone as to who is against us and it becomes easy to distinguish between friends and foes. Then Imam (r.a) said: "I wish America was also like Russia". This means Imam (r.a) desired that if America would have also come openly in confrontation to Islam just like Russia would be much better but then Imam (r.a) made it clear to the people to be aware that this is a highly deceptive power and will never come openly against Islam. They come in confrontation which such tricks and excuses that Muslims do not even realize what they are talking and doing is of our benefits or loss. Thus encounter with Russia was very easy but with America it is quite complex. And then Imam (r.a) said in the same message: "This confrontation and its complexity is such that till date many nations and communities have not realized its complexity and are not still not acquainted and informed about what kind of Satanic power is this modern Yazidiat." Why did Imam (r.a) termed this as Yazidiat? This was because the first element of Yazidiat is worshipping, following physical power and authority whereas the fundamental element of Hussainiat is following righteousness (Haqq).

Thus the orbit and axis of Yazidiat is power base and it feels proud about its power; whereas the orbit and axis of Hussainiat is righteousness and it is privileged by truth. In other words the backbone of Yazidiat is power and it comes forward on the basis of this power considering this power base as righteousness (Haqq); this means its logic is that truth lies in power and whatever comes out from the tongues of worldly powers is truth. Yazidiat is the name of this logic; though Yazid was intoxicated by wine but more than that he was intoxicated by power and authority. It was not this alcohol that challenged Imam Hussain (a.s) for allegiance instead it was the intoxication of power and the arrognance of authority which demanded allegiance from truth. Yazid was considering himself as a superpower and in this intoxication of power he confronted with truth and power; authority is such that when it gets intoxicated, becomes blind and looses its senses it confronts truth. This has not happened for the first time in history that Yazid after being intoxicated with power confronted truth in fact the ones whose inheritor is Yazid have also been confronting truth.

The established Hussaini and Yazidi systems on the basis of Truth and Power

Hussainiat and Yazidiat are two systems existing from Adam to Qiyamah though their inheritors have been varying in every era. Thus in Karbala there was a battle between two inheritors; one was the inheritor of truth (Haqq) and second the inheritor of power. Whose inheritor was Hussain? If we recite Ziarath-e-Waritha (The testimonial of inheritance) we can easily get the answer to this question.

'' السّلام علیک یا وارِث آدم صِفوِة اللّٰہِ السّلام علیک یا وارِث نوح نبیِِ اللّٰہِ السّلام علیک یا وارِث اِبراھیم خلیلِ اللّٰہِ السّلام علیک یا وارِث موسیٰ کلیمِ اللّٰہِ السّلام علیک یا وارِث عیسیٰ روحِ اللّٰہِ السّلام علیک یا وارِث محمد حبیبِ اللّٰہِ السّلام علیک یا وارِث امیرِ المؤمِنین علیہِ السّلام السّلام علیک یا بن محمد المصطفیٰ السلام علیک یا بن علِی المرتضیٰ…'' (زیارت وارثہ)

Thus on one side was the lineage of Prophethood whether it was Adam or Noah, Ibrahim or Moosa, Isa or Mohammed (s.a.w.s) who stood up whereas in opposition was Yazid who was the inheritor of big powers like Pharaoh, Nimrod, Shaddad and Qaroon; he has taken everything in inheritance from them and by gathering all his forces came into Karbala. Pharoahism means political power, Nimrod means religious and ideological power, Qaroon means economical power and Shaddad means technological power; and all these powers come in opposition to truth. But when all these powers confront truth, righteousness does not gets disgraced even if there remains only one righteous person on earth because when all these powers challenge truth the follower of truth comes out in the battlefield.

The Holy Quran has mentioned examples about this. Allah (s) addresses Prophet Moosa (a.s)

'' اذْھبْ اِلَی فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّہُ طَغَی '' (طہ٢٤)
O Moosa! The devil of the era has challenged, go and confront him

This means O Moosa we have created and nurtured you for this day only. When all other infants were getting slaughtered we protected you and kept you secure, then we developed fearlessness inside you, made you brave and courageous and today the time has come to confront this devil and enemy of Allah (s). Prophet Moosa (a.s) also in reply did not demand for weapons, technology and other means. Moosa did not ask for anything except for requesting:

'' …رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِی صَدْرِی ٭ وَیَسِّرْ لِی اَمْرِی ٭وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِی ٭ یَفْقَہُوا قَوْلِی '' (طہ ٢٥، ٢٨)
Prophet Moosa (a.s) in this supplication is asking for those assets and goods which are required by truth to confront devilish powers. It is a point worth pondering that Prophet Moosa did not ask for worldly power to confront power because such powers cannot be confronted with worldly means and powers.

Today certain sincere and respected individuals also have this thinking that Muslims should be powerful but if they consider this thinking of theirs as secondary then maybe they will reach better conclusion.

There is no doubt about it that we should develop and grow in materialistic powers as well. Lowliness, poverty and dependency on others is not a virtue in fact it is a flaw and it is a deficiency for a Muslim to be ignorant and insane. Hence Muslims should not remain behind in any field irrespective of whether it is a field of science or technology, field of economics or any other field. This is a different and separate consideration but the fact is that to confront superpowers whatever worldly power you bring in front of them they will still remain more powerful than us. You can witness the power of media that while sitting in our homes we are speaking those things which CNN wants us to speak. Their opinion and thinking is present behind our interpretations and we don't even realize as to who has pasted these statements on our tongue and whose interpreters we have become. This is the power of their media. In the same way they keep on demonstrating their political, economical and military power. Thus this is an accepted fact that whatever weapons and power we accumulate we will not be able to confront them because we do not have this much power.

Confronting Superpower with Righteousness (Haqq)

This is ascertained that wild and devilish powers cannot be confronted with power instead they need to be confronted with righteousness. Thus even if someone is weak he can still come and fight with the powerful provided this weak person is in possession of the weapon of firm and well absorbed faith. He should be a supporter of righteousness and a companion of truth and this is the weapon by virtue of which big powers can be confronted. We have faith on Prophet Moosa and it is an essential element of belief to have faith on past Prophets. Prophet Moosa entered the palace of Pharaoh to confront him with a staff in his hand instead of carrying a sword; thus the meaning of this faith is that Pharaoh can be defeated with a staff. This power was not in the stick it was in the hand in which this staff was; if the same staff was in someone else's hand he would not have been able to even do an ordinary thing with it. When this ordinary staff came in the hand of righteous like Moosa this staff turned into a serpent, then it became capable of running springs of water, sometimes it brought Manna and quails and sometimes stopped a flowing river and whenever it desired with one move demolished Pharaoh and Pharoahism. If we do not have power than can't we not become a bearer of staff only? Thus no powers can confront truth irrespective how big and strong it is.

The victory of swallow birds over elephants

Abraha was the superpower of his era and being enchanted with the intoxication of power he came with an army of elephants to bring down and destroy Kaaba. Elephant is equivalent to the B-52, F-16 or Super Sonic aircrafts and bombs of today that do not come under Radar and there was also no Prophet present against Abraha but only the ancestor of Prophet, Abdul Muttalib was confronting him. Abdul Muttalib did the job of herding camels and was the caretaker of the stone walled house of Kaaba. Abdul Muttalib had no weapons with him but only few camels which were also seized by Abraha. Abdul Muttalib went to Abraha to get his camels released and told him that your soldiers have seized my Camels and I have come to you for getting my camels released. When Abraha heard this he said I have heard a lot about you and I thought Abdul Muttalib is a great chieftain who will come and first threaten him, then get into a dialogue with me and after this will accept my conditions and submit to me requesting me not to attack Kaaba. But now I have realized that what I have heard is not true, you are not at all talking about Kaaba and only concerned about your camels. Abraha was not aware that the person confronting was not one who was proud about his camels he was proud of his righteousness. Thus Abdul Muttalib replied him:

'' انا ربّ الابل وللبیت رب ''

I am the master of these camels whereas the owner of Kaaba will himself protect it and it turned out to be true whereby the Lord of Kaaba protected it. Thus Abdul Muttalib did not reply to power with power; He did not say that since you have power I also have power but instead said that I do not have power but I have righteousness (Haqq), I have Allah (s) and I hand over the Kaaba to its Lord.

The army of truth is always prepared against the army of superpowers. Abraha who was the superpower of that era who came with modern weapons to oppose truth so that the signs of truth can be completely annihilated. Allah (s) arranged the army of truth against him. It was possible for Allah (s) to arrange an army of elephants against Abraha's army of elephants but Allah (s) did not do like this. There were hippopotamus present on earth but Allah (s) did not form their army; there were wild beasts like Lion, tigers, wolves, etc present whose army could have been formed by Allah that would have torn apart the elephants but Allah did not do like this. There were pet animals like sheep, cow, camel also present but Allah (s) did not use any of them but instead selected Swallow birds. Swallow bird is a very tender and delicate bird who makes his nest also with utmost softness and beauty. It is such a small bird that it cannot be seen also from distance and gets killed by just a small pebble hurled at it. This implies that Allah (s) selected a frail and weakest creation for confronting the most powerful army. What is the comparison between an elephant and swallow birds? Thus those who came intoxicated by the addiction of power thought that there is none to confront their army of elephants. Allah (s) got them into a tussle with the weakest of creation but these weak beings had one speciality in them that it was the army of truth. These swallow birds started to prepare their army but not with guns, pistols, rifles, swords or arrows but instead they were instructed to collect small mud in their peaks which even if a kilo is hurled on someone it won't hurt anyone. This weakest of creation for the sake of defending Kaaba dropped small pieces of mud on the elephants and when this mud would fall on the elephant it would get trampled and die at spot as if it did not existed. A complete chapter was revealed in the Holy Quran which has been removed from our syllabus just like many other things we have removed from our syllabus. The Quran says about the army of swallow birds as:

بِسْمِ اﷲِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ َالَمْ تَرَی کَیْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّکَ بِاَصْحَابِ الْفِیلِ ٭ اَ لَمْ یَجْعَلْ کَیْدَھُمْ فِی تَضْلِیلٍ ٭ وَاَرْسَلَ عَلَیْہِمْ طَیْرًا  اَبَابِیل٭ تَرْمِیہِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِنْ سِجِّیلٍ ٭ فَجَعَلَہُمْ کَعَصْفٍ مَاْکُولٍ ٭(سورہ فیل)
'' کَعَصْفٍ مَْکُول''
The elephants were trampled and crushed in a manner as if they were chewed leftover.

This is where man should invoke Allah (s) and ask as to why a complete chapter on these swallow birds has been kept in our religious book (Quran), what relation and association it has with us? The answer that will come will be "O Prophet! inform your companions and nation that this chapter has been kept to tell you that one day when your second Qiblah in Mecca was besieged by a super power who came with his elephants and Allah (s) confronted him with the army of truth which was made out of frailest and weakest swallow birds. In the same way O Muslims your first Qiblah will also come under the siege of a superpower and they will invade your first Qiblah with their full army and atomic power. Then on this day do not say that we were weak and we have nothing with us instead Allah (s) will again give birth to some swallow birds who will have stones in their hands and they will target the Super tanks of enemies with these stones. And they will obliterate them the same way the army of Abraha got destroyed. Today we can witness these scenes in Palestine whereby Palestinians are targeting the upcoming Israeli tanks with stones in their hands. This way we can see a physical picture of Surah Feel in Palestine. Today we should take lessons from these children of Surah Feel and these divine swallow birds.

The army of swallow birds of today

The ex president of Israel, Ariel Sharon was the biggest tyrant of history and Abraha of his time. He rampaged on to the first Qiblah and the holy sanctity of Islam. Though he himself did not had the guts to do this instead he did all this on the motivation from the Superpower (America) and this way the Arrogant powers made him a splinter in the eyes of Muslims and he was given a duty to do open assassination of Muslims.

Now to confront him there is no need for weapons and neither can weapons win this battle. Those who adopted this path of weapons were incorrect. This battle can only be won by righteousness (Haqq). If you have righteousness then just one small pebble of mud and stone is more powerful than an atom bomb against their tanks. But if you are not on truth then irrespective of how much latest and powerful weapon you possess nothing can be done against them because they have much more modern weapons that too in abundance.

Allah (s) revealed this chapter for this day only that whenever in history the oppressed and weak are followers of truth; and if they are confronted with a super power then they should not step back by looking at them but instead they should recite and take lessons from Surah Feel day and night. In the current era if they want to see a physical icon of this chapter then just take one look at Palestine where the divine swallow birds are in big encounter with the devilish powers. Now when this devilish power of Israel has reached the jaws of obliteration through the hands of these divine swallow birds and their foundations have weakened, become fragile and divisions are happening amongst them once again Islam of America and Islam of Yazid has become active so that they can save Israel which is on verge of destruction; they now came out with a conspiracy of peace. It is necessary to ponder over this fact that which type of Islam is this which comes out with a peace solution when they see the devils getting obliterated? This is the reason Imam Khomeini (r.a) had said that in this era of technology it is necessary to live with eyes wide open. Today we should not be happy by looking at computer that we are living in era which is more modern than our ancestors instead to live in modern era we also need modern foresightedness so that man can interpret and analyze the incidents and events occurring around him. We should not be worried with these conspiracies of superpowers and Islam of America because when truth is with someone he should not be worried about anything and this is the lesson of Karbala and this is Hussainiat.

When the doyen of martyrs reached at a particular location on his journey to Karbala he went into an esoteric state. This specific state is while being awakened man establishes connection with the unseen world. The way the Prophets used to get revelations the saints of Allah get into this esoteric state. When this state ended on Imam Hussain (a.s) he recited the verse of return.

  (''ا ِنَّا لِلَّہِ وَاِنَّا اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُونَ ''    (بقرہ١٥٦

Ali Akbar (a.s) came forward in the presence of his respected father and requested him to tell the reason behind reciting this verse of return. Imam (a.s) said: O my son! in this esoteric state I have heard this call from a caller in the unseen world that this caravan is heading towards death and death is proceeding towards them; and very soon they will be united. The nurtured son of Hussain, this youngster asked his father: O father! Are we not on righteousness? This is very strange sentence of Ali Akbar (a.s) and this one sentence does the commentary of entire Hussainiat. Ali Akbar did not ask his father as to how much of weapons they had? or how many warriors are there? This strength was known to him that we have Ali Asgar and Lady Zainab with us. Imam Hussain (a.s) replied that why not, we are on righteousness. Ali Akbar expressed; O Father! If we are on righteousness then it makes no difference whether we fall on death or death falls on us.

Thus the orbit of Hussainiat is truth whereas the axis of Yazidiat is power. And anyone who confronts righteousness on the basis of his possessed power is Yazid, whether small or big, national or global, in city or locality, in street or in home. Anyone who comes against truth by demonstrating power is Yazidi and he is confronting righteousness.

At the advent of Islamic revolution this Yazidiat with the help of Super Sonic aircrafts tried to extinguish the light of Allah. When these same aircrafts reached the dessert of Tabas, Allah (s) ordered the winds to blow and when the wind blew the small particles of sand turned these intoxicated aircrafts into dust. We should have belief and certainty on these things and when we have Surah Feel present with us then we should not be scared. Allah (s) has revealed this chapter for our contentment and satisfaction in such tough times.

The actual encounter between Hussainiat and Yazidiat

Thus it is essential to understand the modern face of Yazidiat so as to know in which form, shape and style it comes out in the field because it is very complex. If yesterday Hussain had an encounter with Yazid then today Hussainiat is having encounter with Yazidiat. It is true that the progeny of Muawiyah is not present today but the system of Yazidiat is definitely present and it is the responsibility of the Hussainiat of today to confront the Yazidiat of the current era. They should not put the Yazidiat of today on the shoulders of Hussainiat of yesterday but instead the Hussainiat of today should rise up to confront the Yazidiat of today. But this confrontation has to be done with open eyes and this encounter will not happen with power because we do not possess that much muscle power instead this will be with bare hands thus we need to develop the power of truth inside us. In this confrontation we should neither be afraid nor show our backs because divine swallow birds (Ababeel) do not show their backs; atom bombs can be confronted with these stones and pebbles. This is the way shown by Quran and this is the path of Karbala and Hussain. We need to believe in Karbala the same way we believe in Allah because Karbala is a reality.

Hussainiat is the name of dominance and Yazidiat is the name of defeat. If once Hussain has defeated Yazidiat and then in history every time Hussainiat can defeat Yazidiat irrespective of whichever face and form it comes. Though the followers of truth face some difficulties because they do not recompense their weakness with power and weapons but they do it with truth. This is because they don't have weapons and still they have to do this journey which is tough to do. The travellers of the path of truth have to face some examination as it is mentioned in Surah Ankaboot.

'' اَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ اَنْ یُتْرَکُوا َنْ یَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَھُمْ لاَیُفْتَنُونَ '' (عنکبوت٢)

These people assume that after claiming to be believers will be they be left; that you are believers so you should go home. It will never happen like this because this is not a divine law instead the divine law is that moment someone says I have brought faith a call comes saying that wait and give your test for faith. And when faith is tested believers have to bear some hardships and calamities.

This examination of faith is hard thus the calamities and hardships seen in Karbala in reality was the examination of those 72 sacrificing supporters. They defeated Yazidiat but prior to this they gave a test of their faith and this test was not an easy one. They were much more ordinary people than us who gave this difficult test and when they passed this test they confronted head on with Yazidiat and defeated it. Amongst these ordinary beings was a slave by the name Jaun; no one amongst us is a slave today but at least we should take lessons from this slave and confront the Yazidiat of our era.
