A region in the famous province of Gilgit is Baltistan which was previously known as Northern area of Jaat and recently has been given the name of Gilgit Baltistan. This region deserves importance and government has carried out some reformatory acts recently as an outcome of which Elections also took place there. A local government setup has also come into existence as a result of these elections. These elections has got the attention of both internal and foreign people towards this region. It is necessary to do an analysis about the current circumstances of this northern sector and specifically those incidents that have come into existence in the Gilgit Baltistan belt. This analysis will help those who are interested about the happenings in this region to gain better knowledge of what is happening there. The changes that have taken place in this area are known to all who are having a vision. The Gilgit Baltistan area has not been given the status of a province but a provincial system has now come into existence which means due to Elections a local government is now present.

The specific significance of Gilgit Baltistan

It is necessary to look at this region from various perspectives since this area has several significances. This region is counted amongst the deprived areas and according to history this region got freedom from the rulers over there by the struggle of locals after freedom of Pakistan and then it got merged with Pakistan. There are two opinions found between Indian and Pakistan regarding this area. India considers this as part of Kashmir and just like Kashmir is a controversial region they consider this region also as controversial. Thus Pakistan also after freedom did not consider it formally as part of its land and controls it as an agency through Federal government. This affair became the basis of its deprivation. This region has several specialities and in one sense we can even say that this region is the Jugular vein of Pakistan. The big rivers flowing in Pakistan originate from this region. From Military Strategy perspective as well this region deserved special attention but the rulers of Pakistan have never paid attention towards this. Now this region has been separated from Kashmir giving it a separate status even though an explicit provincial status has not yet been established for it so that its future can become clear. But still this has been an important move in its own place by which the people have got a local government.

One significant speciality of this region is that it is a source of Pakistani rivers Jhelum and Sindh. All the rivers in Pakistan flow out from these. The mountains of this region have many specialities and are rich with bounties. Similarly farms and fruits are in abundance there. The people of this area are very hard working and sacrificing. From strategic point of view this area joins both India and China. Himalaya plays an important role in the atmosphere of Pakistan. Pakistan is a unique place which has sea on one side and Glacier on other side. The glaciers keep this area covered throughout the year.

The protectors of Religion, Culture and Civilization

There is a also specific culture and civilization there apart from these geographical specialties. One speciality of this culture is that its basis is on religion. The majority of Baltistani are Shia whereas there is a mixed sectarian distribution in Gilgit which means some areas are populated by Shia and some others by Sunni.

Association with faith, belief and religion is a speciality of this region. This means if we ponder over religious inclination in Pakistan then the religious inclination and orientation found in Baltistan cannot be found in any other area. Despite of being downtrodden and deprived still people here have a deep affiliation towards religion. In the past people from this region have been travelling to various parts of Pakistan for acquisition of religious knowledge. People from this region have migrated to Qom, Najaf and other Islamic Seminaries. A big quantum of Scholars belong to this region. This is the fertility of this region and an image of the people's religious orientations. It can be said without exaggeration that if we count the number of Scholars and Seminary Student from all other areas of Pakistan they will be outnumbered by the scholars and students from this region which itself proves the religious inclination of the people here.

The ordinary people of Baltistan also have some specialities like they are simple, simple living, sincere and faithful. Though we see such qualities in other places as well but it is found more here and this itself is a big asset of this region. The ordinary and the elite class are both possessors of these qualifies. The attributes of a virtuous city (Medina-e-Faazila) as talked by Governors and politicians can be seen in this area.

The lowliness of Gilgit Baltistan

1. Deprivation from Education

On one hand we witness that a region despite of being deprived for so long still possesses abundance bounties. And along with materialistic bounties the spiritual attributes of the people are also clearly evident. The lowliness in this area has given big losses amongst which education has been impacted the most. The education section of this region has been kept lowly as a result of which people had to migrate for acquisition of knowledge. The education institutions were nearly non existent, there is no institution in this area of the calibre of a university or even a college only some primary and secondary schools were present. But despite of all these weaknesses we can still call this society a religious society. The religious schools were also not strong and spread out here; the reason for this was also financial deprivations which inflicted serious blows on educational system.

2. Economically downtrodden

The second reason for this region being downtrodden is social economics. This is a region of mountains where mines, precious stones are available in abundance. Apart from this there are flower gardens which can be used to manufacture essence and perfumes. But the financial lowliness and government policies have inflicted serious blows to the social upbringing of this region. Thus as regards to living needs also these people are a victim of severe difficulties.

3. Migrations

The standard of living in this region is very low as a consequence of which the people over here migrated in big numbers to other regions. They did not see any future for them over here. A group that possessed the status of being a backbone for society turned towards other places in Pakistan and wherever they were comfortable for the sake of living and upbringing of their children they migrated. The outcome of this was that the region became empty of elite class. There were such capable persons present here who would have played some role in that society but due to social lowliness and other deprivations were pursued to leave this region.

Tourist Centre of Pakistan

One speciality of this region is it being the only tourist centre of Pakistan. As such there are many tourist attractions but this northern region of Jaat has a specific tourist attraction. The natural beauty manifested by Allah (s) in this area is found less in other places. Gilgit Baltistan despite of being a tourist centre remains a deprived region. There has been no capital investments in this area either by government of private sector. This region has been always under religious leadership which means religious leadership has dominated more than political leadership. This is because the people here have religious inclination and are deeply associated with religion. The people over here consider religion in their individual life and also in their social life they consider religious guidance. It is due to these reasons that leadership of people here has been with religious people which means Scholars (Ulama). The Scholars over here have always played an effective role. This is a surface overview of this region which manifests the significance of this region. Thus without any exaggeration we can say that this region has unique specialities apart from the factors of tourism, geography, religion and culture. But despite of all these specialities this region has been a victim of various issues.

The Post election circumstances

There have been various slogans raised for the development and growth of this region but practically nothing has been done. Many political parties and groups expressed their views about this region just for their personal interests but in 2009 a big change was seen. This change was the formal announcement for giving this region a formal status. Though this is not a clear status because this region has not been termed as a province. Anyhow elections took place and local government came into existence which does not have any legal or constitutional rights but still there are hopes that some further actions will be taken.

The elections and the post elections can be considered as turning point. This is where the fortune of the people of this area will be decided as to where they have to go and what they need to select? These elections were not some ordinary elections whereby the people of this region elected some local parliamentary representatives. Though they have not yet reached the country parliament but have reached local parliament. The actual purpose behind these elections was not that they were given an opportunity to elect their parliament in fact the reason for this change is that now people need to select their own path and they should keep in their vision many other things which they will have to select. The purpose of this article is also to raise this point and make the people of this region attentive towards this that on the outward these elections look very simple but behind these elections the selection and election of many other things are concealed.

The path of election and selection has opened up and people here will have to decide and select many things; and whatever happens later will be an outcome of people's selection. Thus there is a need to act with wisdom and foresightedness.

The local leadership, political and religious guides, general public and various groups should demonstrate utmost caution and pondering thereby developing political Sense and try to understand what is happening and what is about to happen? The people over here should think whom they are electing and in which direction they have been dragged. Simplicity, partism and foolishness could be prove to be very damaging. It is possible that prior to this the simplicity of people there has not proved to be so damaging. If the post elections are not dealt with wisdom then the upcoming events for the people could be prove very dangerous.

Need to remain alert from Freedom, Rights and Elections

In this election slogans of freedom and deliverance of rights to the people here were raised. It is good that as an outcome of these elections the people here are getting some political and materialistic rights. The people in this region were waiting since long for freedom and their rights but it should be remembered that many other things are introduced under the cover of freedom.

Wherever the doors of freedom are closed with lowliness, deprivation, oppression and tyranny; and when the era of aggression and slavery ends due to the struggle of people then along with those slogans of freedom and rights many other things enter through the same door. At this time it is essential to pay attention towards those things which have come along with freedom. Many other damaging things enter a society under situations of noise, panic and confusions just like the shadow of terrorism haunting our country today. The moment the worshipper enters the mosque along with him the terrorists also enter the mosques. Detectors are kept for preventing terrorists to enter such places. Today we can see the detector gates installed in big gatherings, processions and rallies through which people need to pass. This is a basic security arrangement but still good. These things should be in place and people should be passed through detectors so that we can come to know who is entering inside? Whether is a worshipper entering the mosque or a terrorist? Whether an Azadar is entering the Hussainiah or some terrorist? In situations of lethargy and laziness terrorists have entered the mosques under disguise of worshippers and created havoc. As a result of elections in Gilgit Baltistan it became possible for freedom and rights to enter inside. But there is no scanner or detector installed here that could check what other undesirable things have entered along with freedom and Rights. Things which are more damaging than terrorists and for which it is essential to pay attention. This is a situation of examination of people's foresightedness and every community is examined by Allah (s) in different ways. Deprivation is also a test and struggle against deprivation is also another form of examination.

The need for protection of Values

At present it is a test of foresightedness of the people of this region. Maybe before they were examined for their patience but now they are being examined for their foresightedness. It would become evident in the forthcoming days as to how much inquisitiveness and sharpness the people over here demonstrate. If they close their eyes and get deceived by the slogans than they will have to face severe damages in future but if they act with foresightedness then they can benefit from this in future. In reality the people of Gilgit Baltistan are standing on a cross road of two paths. One way out for them is to take advantage from the opportunity they have got now and second path is to get used by others. This implies during this opportunity period they will be used as a tool and the asset which they had during the time of deprivation also gets looted. In more clear words we mean to say that the best asset of religion which they have should not get exchanged with their deprivation. The desire for freedom, rights, prosperity and growth which the people over here have can be obtained from other means or later but if they demonstrated short sightedness than this asset of religion which they have will also get snatched away from them. During the era of deprivation they had this precious asset of religion which was the most valuable asset of this region. It is very difficult to see such pure societies during this current era of corruption, indecency and transgression. This factor was highly evident in Baltistan and this asset could get lost. On the contrary if they act with foresightedness then they can protect this asset and also make use of this opportunity window to get rid of their deprivations. Thus both the ordinary mass and elite class need foresightedness in this situation.

A significant event which happened was that one political party got the elections here. Prior to this the region was under control of Army and the people here were not getting any benefits from the available resources in this region. It was the first time that the government of one political party made the determination to give political growth to this region. This was a courageous act of People's party which is worth commending. If the good works of this party has to be counted than this is the only one. But along with this freedom those things have also entered which were not suppose to come here. With the infiltration of these things the threat to both spiritual and materialistic assets of this region have enhanced. The same political parties, political personalities who considered visiting this region as waste of time have all formally stepped into the political arena of this region.

The speciality of Political Parties of Pakistan

The Pakistani community has never received any goodness from political parties. If we do an analysis of the activities of Political parties in Pakistan then what have they done for Pakistan? We don't see anything other than treachery, betrayal, deception, usurpation, looting and similar such achievements of these political parties. Now with these new doors opened up in Gilgit Baltistan for these political parties it increases their involvement and impact on this region. They could not even imagine that such a fertile land will be made available for them.The speciality of Political parties is that they are only concerned with power. All these parties have a similar manifesto irrespective of what names they have; whether leftist or rightist, religious party or non religious party they all have the same agenda which is acquisition of power at any cost. They are ready to pay any price for this. You can look at the history of religious parties and also look at the other secular parties. In order to acquire power they are ready to do any type of deception and treachery, they are prepared to participate in major acts of tyranny and cruelty and if they have to sell the country they are willing to do that as well. They do not refrain from permitting elements from enemies to enter their country. Thus they all have this one common agenda of coming into power whereas the differences between them are all secondary.

The effects on Northern Jaat area due to intervention by Political Parties

The biggest filth experienced by our society is that the political parties are never sincere with the people. If they were sincere then they would have done something in those areas where they are in power and authority. As an example look into other regions of Pakistan and see what great achievements they have there. If their activities are satisfactory in those regions then we can hope that they will do something for this region as well. But we all know what they have done in other areas hence we should have the same expectations from them for Gilgit Baltistan.

This is an established fact that the leaders of Political Parties separate themselves from each other just for the sake of distributing the people else most of the things are common amongst all. As we can see in everyday affairs that wherever they have to join hands they do it easily but have kept the people divided.

Thus the effects of Political Parties intervention in Gilgit Baltistan would be:

1. Division

One big loss by these parties intervention would be that the people of Gilgit Baltistan who were threaded on the same string will get divided on political associations. Thus the first damage from Political parties will be division amongst people

2. Eradication of Religious values

The second loss would be that this society which had the speciality of being a religious society will be now gradually dragged towards Secularism by these political parties. Secular society implies a non religious society in which religion is presented in a very bad shape. It is evident when the asset of religion is taken away from the people than religious values will also end.

3. Identity usurpation

The conflicts between political parties results into a big damage of the region loosing its culture and identity. At present the people of Gilgit Baltistan have a unique identity which differentiates them from others. There is a big threat of this identity getting stampeded and its example is present in Afghanistan. The Afghan society had an ancient identity. In order to obliterate the identity of this Afghan society they entered Afghanistan along with NATO in the name of freedom and rights; but after the political elections whatever is happening has adulterated the Afghani culture, Afghani traditions and above all the inclination of Afghans towards religion is also being taken away.

We are not well versed with such things but those who are acquainted with Afghani society know this very well. At present the activity that has started in Gilgit Baltistan is an exact replica of what started in Afghanistan. It means the way they are trying to get freedom there and establishing democracy. A similar act has started in Gilgit Baltistan. These political parties have entered with the same slogans. It is a fact when a society treads the path of Secularism then Secularism is not alone instead it has other visions behind it which endangers the religion and values of human being. The values perish wherever such an environment is created.

The attentive dimensions in the current circumstances

The foresightedness which the masses and elite class of Gilgit Baltistan should demonstrate is to reap benefits from the current opportunity window to develop and prosper the region; at the same time they should be attentive and careful about following things:

1. Protection of Identity

The identity of the region should not get trampled and adulterated which means they should hold on firmly to their identity and their core of existence. They should preserve it carefully because at present multitudes of people have entered in this region. Some from east, some from west, some connected to someone have all entered this region. These people will enhance their effects on the identity of people here and a community that looses its identity cannot be protected by anyone. It is just like in Pakistan where there are Muslims and that too strongly connected with Islam but till date have not been able to create their Pakistani Identity. Hence they have been divided into various segments, tribes and small groups. The Western culture has badly forsaken their identity, it has snatched their identity and this is about to happen in Gilgit Baltistan as well. The first attack is on the identity and personification of the region.

2. The danger of corruption in population distribution

The second is on the population distribution. The majority in Baltistan is of Shia Muslims.  One of objectives behind the entrance of these political groups and their political moves will be to disturb the population distribution in Baltistan. With various excuses when the population distribution gets disturbed and corrupted then the residents slowly move out of the region, they are made homeless, their own land is snatched from them and they are made unacquainted from their own land. The example of this is Palestine hence it is necessary for people of Baltistan to study how the people of Palestine were evacuated from their homeland. Similar examples are present for other areas also. The same people who came under the name of Welfare and development, came with a modern system and they used to say that we have come to develop your lands. In the name of settlements they brought the land from Palestinians and slowly the Jews were settled on the lands of Palestine; and within few years the population distribution got disturbed. The Palestinians became less, Jews increased and at the end the Jews by aligning with arrogant imperialistic powers made the Palestinians leave that land.

The Sensitivity towards Shia majority in Baltistan

It is well agreed upon fact that such a big majority of Shia in Gilgit Baltistan specifically in Baltistan is not tolerable by anyone. Even our government cannot tolerate it; they are just name sake secular because if they were really secular then they won't be concerned with this aspect; but these secular beings also show sensitivity on this matter. All groups, government, agencies and specifically prejudicial religious persons who are effective in this region are very sensitive about the Shia majority here. They consider the presence of such a big Shia population in a military strategic area of the country as inappropriate. This is a fact and in order to disseminate this concentration of Shia population they are prepared to do anything. People from outside have settled there in the name of business and now under the pretext of political workers people from other areas would be bought here and settled. Every group will create its own setup there and under this excuse they will migrate many people who have no concern with the religion and culture present here. The consequences will be that slowly they will destroy the culture over here and also corrupt the population distribution. Under such situation it does not matter who gets settled here, it is possible they might settle Christians here just like they settled Jews in Palestine. All these migrations would not be for the development and employment of people here instead it will have one purpose and objective that is to disturb the population distribution thereby transforming this Shia majority region to Shia minority. They will buy land, shops, areas owned by Shia's through several excuses and the Shia's by taking some money will migrate to other parts of the country and God forbid the same thing that happened in Palestine will be repeated in Gilgit Baltistan. If this happens then this will be a big tragedy because this is that region of Pakistan where an Islamic government and the System of Wilayat-e-Faqeeh can get established. If such an hope can be made for any region in Pakistan then it is Gilgit Baltistan.

Rectification of Misunderstanding

This act which has started now is for gradually achieving these activities. It is necessary for people to pay attention towards this as mentioned before that people in this region should act with foresightedness. They should not stop this act of freedom and neither should oppose it but act with foresightedness. It is not intended to say that one group over there should rise and say that we don't need elections or local government and we prefer the era of backwardness. We do not intend to say this here instead what we intend to say is that at present a change has happened and act has been performed hence now with this act losses can be incurred or benefits can be reaped. If we show simplicity then others will take advantage of the situation whereas we will suffer losses. If we act with foresightedness we will achieve gains or others will suffer losses or their agenda will not be fulfilled. But we can only reach our goals if we can get clear and bright objectives and purpose established from these political groups. We should be aware about what we want to achieve from these political parties?

Development does not mean negligence of Religion

We desire that this region should progress and this development means there should be education centres up to the level of universities, in such a big region if an Assembly can be formed why can't Universities be constructed? We wish that there are colleges made for different segments, separate education centres for boys and girls are made, proper roads and streets are constructed and every home should receive electricity. But if Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi is not getting electricity then thinking about electricity for Baltistan is a dream by itself. It is necessary that people demand for these so that compromises can be made on these issues with political parties. The foresighted people of this region should demand that no one should touch our culture, do not disturb our population, do not interfere with our religion and identity. If you want to do something then make roads, get us electricity, Gas, create recreation facilities for tourists due to which locals get business, jobs and then they do not need to migrate from there and can live a good life there itself.

These demands should be presented to the political parties to the people and leadership there. Promises are made during elections for water and electricity but in reality these were just excuses for entering inside. This has come to our notice that certain dangerous persons have entered this region; such kind of persons who are not related to this region at all. Such strangers have also won election seats in this area which is ringing danger bells in this area. This is the reason behind mentioning all this so that the dignified people of this region become aware about this danger. Even with all these circumstances our desire is that business should be promoted here, travelling facilities should be made available, health systems should be in place for people. Medical Colleges should be established, separate hospitals for men and women should be constructed and large scale efforts should be made to develop the resources present here. The possible industrialization in this region should be done so that people should get employment and participate themselves in the prosperity of their own region. There has been an issue in the past regarding the syllabus for which one prominent personality Ziauddin was martyred. All these issues are worth pondering and we should not take them light. In reality to disturb the population distribution and eradicate the religious identity a critical stage is now present towards which we should be attentive.

The real cause of Shia assassinations in Pakistan

What is the reason for which Shia's are being trampled since last twenty years? This an outcome of the courage which the Shia's demonstrated in the 80's by starting an activity to get Zakat exemption. For this purpose the Shia's of Pakistan gathered in Islamabad and with a forceful demand got exemption from Zakat. Zakat got exempted but the lives were not forgiven. Now, the Shia's are happy that they are not paying Zakat but instead giving lives. The Shia nation is getting punished for this act. At that time Shia's did a small demand as per their Fiqh (Jurisprudence) and with some power they got the government submitted to it; but after that efforts are being made to crush the pride and power of Shia's. They were successful in this. They rampaged the Shia power in Pakistan and destroyed it. Today Shia's are present in Pakistan in millions but see the state in which they are living their lives? There are weaker than even Christians. The Christians and other minorities are in very less numbers. The Shia's in this country are in majority amongst all minorities but the catastrophe and troubles that have been made for Shia cannot be even expressed. The way they have been divided, trampled, crushed are all in reality the revenges which agencies, government institutions and establishments have taken from this sect. In Baltistan as well by demanding for the syllabus they have expressed their strength. The arrogant group sensed their power behind this demand and decided that this power should break. In their intelligence such a big Shia majority in Gilgit Baltistan should not be present hence all these attempts are under this context only.

The people should decide with foresightedness and prove that what we want to gain from this freedom we should aim for that only whereas we need to foil the plans of others. What is intended from foresightedness is this wisdom which these three four things which needs to be protected and sensitivity should be demonstrated towards these. These are; one that the people should not loose their identity, they should not be moved out of their land, under no circumstances of pressure, greed or threat they should sell their lands to government and other groups. They should not allow their religion to slip out of their hands and should not allow the population distribution to be disturbed. These affairs are essential for the people there else God forbid they will have to face the same end as that of Palestinians and such difficulties will develop which would be out of control for everyone.

Damaging effects of Poverty

Lowliness develops through many issues as it is mentioned in religious traditions

Financial poverty at times take a person towards infidelity. This poverty means lack of money, worldly lowliness; poverty drives man towards spiritual, religious, intellectual and cultural lowliness. Poverty develops many feelings inside man hence poverty is not something desirable by Islam. Poverty over here means financial and social poverty and not the terminology of Poverty common amongst Sufi's. Such poverty is undesirable in the vision of Islam. Islam does not intends to see man as beggar. Poverty develops inferiority complex in man. Inferiority complex means considering your self lower than others. It makes man think that as compared to other communities we are backward. In fact others should be thinking like this and not us. If such feelings get born inside some community than these feelings will destroy such communities. This feeling develops isolation for man. The children, youths, ladies and elders of any community develops this feeling that we can't do big things, we can take major steps, we are not worthy of certain things than that community cannot develop. Thus the masses and elite of this region should come out of this inferiority complex. This implies this feeling that we are a backward community should get erased by them and should aim at proving themselves as the first grade community. We are also like other communities and in fact beyond them. And accidentally it is like this only which means these people are ahead of others because they have certain qualities towards which a brief indication has been given.

The glitter of Pakistan's Religious centres at the mercy of Northern area of Jaat

Baltistan is a fortress of Shia and in this context it can be considered as a fortress of Islam as well. The Shiite which we are discussing over here is not in relevance to sectarianism; God forbid someone should not think that we are creating an impression that Ahle Sunnah are different and Shia are different or Shia's are superior then Sunnah. The main intention over here is to express the fact that there is a region where Shia's are settled and being a Shia Muslim dominated region it deserves specific significance. The reason this region is termed as a fortress for Shia is because it was the services of the people of this region and this region has played a big role in the spread of Shiite in Baltistan.

At present there would be hardly any mosque in the country that would not be having a scholar related to Gilgit Baltistan. If you do a survey of the country you will these people in every mosque and religion school. In other words we can say that religion is flourishing due to these people only. Sindh, Punjab, Border and Balochistan is settled due to these people. These people are such kind of soldiers of religion who are a shield for religion. They have protected the religion of their region and also the religion in other parts of the world. It is their religious passion that they are working on very low compensation and conditions. It is evident that this fertile land which is producing such assets cannot be tolerated by anyone. Conspiracies are crafted to corrupt this atmosphere so that in future such kind of persons are not generated by this region.

Negligence from affairs - Sign of Destruction

If this region is dealt with negligence than God forbid devastating consequences would be seen. In the past sixty years also this region was inflicted with heavy losses but this was not a loss to a high extent. In the past sixty years there was only one motive that this region should be kept abased. But disturbing the population distribution of this region, obliteration of religious identity, cultural identity of this region should get destroyed and changes should come in this region was not planned before. There was only a single point agenda which was to keep this region deprived. Deprivation persisted in this region but other things remained secure under this deprivation. Today there is a need to be attentive else the negligence of today will be heavier on that negligence of sixty years. The damage incurred in last sixty years was not that much as compared to what losses could be inflicted as result of negligence in this era.

Election should not be the cause of chaos

When closed doors are opened a chaos is created in deprived communities. If you can imagine that there are some hungry and thirsty persons standing in one place and on the other side of the door is food and water so when the doors are opened all of a sudden a chaos will take place. In such a situation everything gets wasted and people are trampled below the feet. We can witness such scenes every day in our country. This happens very often in Pakistan when wheat flour is distributed many women get trampled below the feet while trying to get flour and like these many incidents happen where people are trampled under the feet. It should not happen that now in Gilgit Baltistan when the doors are slightly opened a chaos should take place whereby people get trampled under each others feet; that is they get divided. The Shia Muslims of Gilgit Baltistan will now get divided into different groups; some will be a special man of People's party and some a special person of Muslim league. Parties will be formed in every street and disputes will take place in various cities. Skardu in which there was only one group living; now twenty other groups will come into existence who will compete with each other, confront each other and will try to oppose and deny each other. These groups will weaken each other trying to push their opponents back. This is chaos, everyone will try to crush each other for the sake of coming into power; everyone will suffer with this. Thus under these circumstances this chaos should avoided.

The Virus of Political Parties

When such chaos took place in Afghani's they started to behead each other. Thus all what is coming with these political parties here is known to everyone; their visions and manifesto's are clear on everyone; some of them are communists, some are regionally prejudicial, some are hereditary worshippers but worship of power is common in all of them. A region where people are worshippers of truth, reality, righteousness, values and Allah now power worshipping parties have entered. This means power worshippers have entered the region of worshippers of values. They have got these evil traits with them and will spread them amongst the people here as well.

The message of Iblees to his political children

The true picture of these situations is painted by Allama Iqbal in one of his poem "Iblee's message to his Political children"

This is a six point agenda of Shaitan to corrupt the Muslim nation in which he talks about how Hindi Muslims should be destroyed, what should be done with Afghani Muslims? What should be done to destroy Iranian Muslims? It is just like the conspiracies being crafted about treating Muslims by the Big Satan. What is the treatment for Iranian, Hindi and Pakistan? How to corrupt the Pushtuns, Balti's, Punjabi, Sindh and Balochs? Satan has created formulas for different communities in relevance to their temperament by which those Muslims should be indulged in such things that would entangle them amongst each other. If Muslims are indulged in their own diseases then Satan will live comfortably.

Allama has discussed these six points as to how Satan misleads communities by these six methods. These six methods has been adopted by Satan for Baltistan and Gilgit because these are the six things by which Satan destroys the identity of Gilgit Baltistan. This poem of Iqbal is present in Zarbe Kaleem.

1. Corruption in Religious segment

لاکر برہمنوں کو سیاست کے پیچ میں 
زنّاریوں کو دہر کہن سے نکال دو

Bring the Brahman in Politics
Remove the Father (Pope) from Church

After witnessing the current circumstances it looks like Allama Iqbal has written this poem for the people of Northern Jaat area. All the interpretations perfectly fit there. They are starving people, they are deprived but the soul of Mohammadi (s) is present in their body. What has Satan thought for them?

3. The mirror of Modernization

فکرِ عرب کو دے کر فرنگی تخیلات
اسلام کو حجاز و یمن سے نکال دو

Encompass the Arab thoughts with Cultural Illusions
Remove Islam from Hijaz and Yemen

The word "Arab" in this verse of Iqbal is a parable. If we replace the Northern area of Jaat instead of Arab than also it turns out to be true. Iqbal while expressing the state of Satan's heart says what should be done about the dignified self respected Muslims? Give them cultural illusions, make them dream of Public and Modern Secular Schools, make their women Models and Advanced, give them means of indecencies on cable TV, spread immodesty and indecency in the name of development, similar to the name of development given in our neighbouring country of Afghanistan to these things. Culture means western illusions here. This means if you want to eradicate Islam from any region then first go there and spread Western thoughts, thinking and promote Western culture. The Western culture itself will throw Islam out of that region.

4. Distancing from Religious Scholars

افغانیوں کی غیرتِ دیں کا ہے یہ علاج
ملّا کو ان کے کوہ و دمن سے نکال دو

This is the treatment of Afghans Religious Zeal
Remove the Religious Scholars from amongst them

The Afghans are a self respected community, so what is the cure for this Self Respect? The cure for the self respect is to remove the Scholars from their mountains and valleys. The scholars should not remain in those valleys. Liberal Secular and enlightened thoughts people should be brought, call the scholars as backward, they are not from the current era, they cannot give anything to the community and with different excuses and justifications remove the scholars from these places. Arouse the people against scholars and replace them with political stooges.

The masses of Gilgit Baltistan should think that the members of Political parties entering Baltistan today are mostly criminals with ongoing court cases. The example for this is that Parvez Musharraf using NR Ordinance had forgiven 8000 cases on politicians amongst which everyone has seventy murder cases on them. Today those who deliver Telephonic addresses and deliver message to the people with promises that we will all these to you, the people of Baltistan should be aware about they have done for the people of their region? These political leaders without any difference are criminals. These criminals will have no mercy on your women nor your life and wealth; and neither on your community.

Till the time a community remains attached with their scholars it remains alive and dignified similar to what is happening in Iran today. In Iran as well the community realized their self respect due to scholars. They know that till the time the reigns of the community is in the hands of Scholars the community will remain dignified.

5. Extract the Identity of Religious people

اہلِ حرم سے ان کی روایات چھین لو
آہو کو مرغزارِ خُتن سے نکال دو

Extract the customs of religious people
Remove the deer from Central Asia

The traditions and customs of religious people should be extracted out them. They should be questioned as to what is all this? Why do you mourn everyday? beat your chests? attend Majalis's, What is there in all this? Take away these things from them. Make them realize that these are signs of ancient people, these are remains of backward people and they should leave all these and come towards a modern world.

There is a region in Central Asia (by the name Khutan) whose deer is very famous which has musk in its belly. This is a very famous essence. Hence remove this deer from this Central Asian region where it resides. This is a beautiful interpretation of Iqbal in relevance to the northern region of Jaat. Today Gilgit Baltistan is also similar to a residing place of Musk deer. It is that specific place where the essence and fragrance of Musk deer is present.

Homelessness of the Deer

Remove this Deer from this famous region of Central Asia. When this deer leaves the region there will two losses; one loss will be that this deer will not get a place to live, it will become homeless and second will be that this region will get solitude. The grazing place of Central Asia where deer will not be there it will be replaced with wolves. Thus in the same Gilgit Baltistan where today self respected believers are settled tomorrow undignified, disgraceful, shameless and immodest people will get settled.

7. Transfer of Patriots from their gardens

اقبال کے نفس سے ہے لالہ کی آگ تیز
ایسے غزل سرا کو چمن سے نکال دو

The fire of Tulip is blazing with Iqbal's self
Remove such an ode reciter from the Garden

This is the last manifesto of Satan in which he is telling his political followers and children. This Satan is also very clever and his senses are in place. He knows that there are some people who are present to awaken the masses. Tulip for Iqbal means his youths. This means with Iqbal's odes and poems the fire inside the youths start to blaze more; the youths become more awakened; ode reciters like Iqbal awaken the people. The enemies of Islam like those people who keep the community sleeping and in deep slumber. Satan does not like those scholars, poets, speakers, intellectuals and writers who make their people aware and awaken them. Satan's manifesto and instruction is to remove such persons from this garden. They should be either martyred or exiled or their character should be assassinated or propaganda should be done against them and give them pains through some means. Thus the people of Gilgit Baltistan are undergoing a tough examination and they will have to give a proof of foresightedness in this. This means at present they are standing on the cross road of saving something and loosing something. They should think what needs to be saved? and what should be lost? It should not happen like Palestine whereby they loose everything; their homes, country and even lost their land. And in their place these political stooges capture those lands and the people of Gilgit and Baltistan are even deprived of visiting there. The people of this region should avail from this time opportunity and should make arrangements for the growth and prosperity of their region.

Unity - The dire need of hour

For this unity is required. The demands cannot get fulfilled just like this. By claiming yourself to be oppressed and needy you cannot get your demands accepted and delivered instead for this you need the power of unity. These political parties should be given this clear impression that if you do not accept our demands and did not act the way we want you to do then you have no place in this region. We will kick you out from here. We do not want such freedom which is just deception, traps and only slogans. We do not want a hollow system but instead we want a real progress in this region. Thus there is a need to give a deadline for these acts to them that if you do these things then you have the right to contest election in this area else we do not need you at all. Thus at this time the people of Gilgit Baltistan, their leadership, religious and other groups should all give proof of awakening.

Gilgit Baltistan - The Centre of attraction for the World

The attention of many are on Gilgit Baltistan because this region has its specific significance. Its military strategic speciality, geographical specialities, tourism speciality and also in regards to natural resources this region has significant speciality. If this region of Gilgit Baltistan is handed over to some private company they will earn millions every day and this is not an exaggeration because there is that much potential in this region. Hence they want to somehow usurp this region and they are in pursuit of some hole or way to get inside the region. They have got a very good path now through these political activities. It is a test of foresightedness of the masses and elite class here that they should extract benefits out from them and not let them take advantages. It should not happen that they take away everything; hotels, restaurant, tourism port all goes to them and the people of this region remain then and there. They become servants and cooks of capitalists and politicians considering it as prestigious for themselves. Thus the struggle of freedom and independence needs planning and unity. In such stages the treacherous within the community also play their role hence the people should remain aware and alert about them. The religion, culture and identify of this region can only be preserved by awakening, foresightedness, cleverness, unity, cooperation, perseverance.  

We pray to Allah (s) to give these people such foresightedness and courage that they can protect themselves in this stage and can take some effective steps in development and growth of their area.
